Hard To Find Fellas
Salutations Chooms! Now that we’ve got a good grip on our metagame and the future is falling into place, we thought it would be a good time to help players patch the holes in their collection with a new add-on for our Vehicle Mayhem Kickstarter… those four elusive veterans of Night City: Doc Salvage, Jonathan Powers, Nemo, and Sgt. Suou!
Originally found in paint sets, these models are becoming limited-release Characters. This means you’ll be able to purchase them as add-ons for this Kickstarter, and then depending on our supplies, future conventions and campaigns.
For those of you who might already be fans of these models, we’ll be expanding them to Elite versions as well. For those of you who might not know these guys, let’s jump right in!
First up on the docket is Doc Salvage. I chose him first because of the alphabet… but also because he’s the one who’s getting a rewording for clarity. He’s a solid-ranged member of the Trauma Team with an Assault rifle and 3 actions. He also has a special ability that lets him equip a single piece of gear from any faction for a little +1 EB tax. In our current meta, this unlocks some interesting synergies in odd teams (I’m looking at you, Bozos).
Jonathan Powers is a budget sniper that will find use in many builds. As an Edgerunner & Merc, he’s 10 EB with two actions and a Long-range gun. He can even move for free if he can’t see any targets when he activates. So, if you’re looking to put shots across the whole board, he’s your guy.
Nemo is a nice 10 EB link in the Zoner chain. First off, Nemo is a survivor with a +3 Reflexes, which keeps them in play when the bullets fly. With two actions, they don’t commit a lot of murder, but their Lookout ability lets them choose who acts next from visible models. This can keep your Zoner chain activations going, but it can also serve as a capstone to the chain for great effectiveness.
Lastly is Sgt. Suou the Lawman. His silenced SMG has both Suppression and Silent, which might seem redundant, but it can matter in odd corner cases. Additionally, he can [RE]act when his team is wounded, letting him take plenty of shots. Just remember that he [RE]acts instead of the friendly model, so if they can’t [RE]act, neither can Suou!
These guys have been hanging around the outskirts of our campaign nights for a while now, and I’m excited to see them hit the streets of Night City in greater numbers.
And for those of you backing the Kickstarter campaign and receiving physical product from one of the pledges, if you already have these characters, we will have an option in our pledge manager to get you one set of the Elite versions of these character cards for free.
