High Noon Havoc: Mastering Nisha's Showdown Skills
Welcome back to the arena, Vault Hunters!
In this article, we’ll explore potential Skill Tree builds for the gunslinger Nisha. This Vault Hunter can be found in the Box of Badasses, along with a huge selection of other unique characters and enemies.
All of Nisha’s Skill Trees revolve around her starting Showdown ability. Showdown places a Badass token on her card each time she activates. Activating means whenever Nisha starts her “turn,” not every time she uses an Action token. When Nisha makes a gun attack, she may discard all Badass tokens to gain that amount of Rapid. For example, if Nisha discards two Badass tokens, she can make two attacks with one Action token. Note that If you target multiple targets, each new target must be in the same zone or a zone adjacent to the previous target.
Nisha’s first level allows you to spend a Badass token to give the attack Charge and Accurate instead of the Showdown effect of turning it into a Rapid attack. Charge allows you to move before making the attack. This can be useful to either get into range for the attack or move out of range from melee enemies so you can gun them down from a safe distance. Getting a free move is like having an extra Action token. Accurate allows you to reroll the attack, which can be a lifesaver to avoid Fumble effects from enemies.
The second level simply unlocks bonuses to skills, including Ranged +1, Melee +1, and Medical +1. The bonus to Ranged buffs her already impressive Ranged Skill of 3 for a total of 4. This is the equivalent of adding an extra red die so you’re able to hit even the tough Unique and Boss enemies. The bonus to melee brings her total Melee Skill to 2. This is helpful to defend against melee enemies but not enough for Nisha to switch focus into melee attacks unless it combos with some really good gear. Her Medical Skill increases to a total of 2, which is enough to heal all of her three wounds with a single Health token. You may use Loot tokens freely at any time.
Nisha’s third level is the real powerhouse in this Skill Tree. At the start of her activation, you may place a Wanted token (Badass token) on an enemy. When any Vault Hunter takes out the Wanted enemy, they heal all wounds and draw D4 additional Loot tokens. Taking out a Wanted enemy is useful for anybody but is especially powerful for combining with a character that takes on the role of a tank (see the previous article for Brick). This can act like a Fight For Your Life to heal all your wounds, but before you’re down to losing your last breath of life. Getting extra Loot tokens is the icing on the cake. Since one Health token can allow Nisha to heal all of her wounds with her Medical Skill bonus, it’s usually best to have other Vault Hunters take out a Wanted Enemy so they can heal, then have Nisha scoop up Health tokens as needed.
The fourth level gives Nisha another yellow Action token. Extra actions are always good but an extra point of health to absorb enemy attacks combos well with her healing powers of 3 Medical Skill. If Nisha has a stack of Health tokens from her Wanted ability, she can tank enemies and soak a lot of hits.
To wrap up, Nisha’s Skill Trees offer a unique combination of precision and brute force, allowing her to be a dynamic threat on the battlefield. Whether you’re focusing on rapid gun attacks, strategic movement, or healing through clever enemy targeting, Nisha can dominate the arena with style. Her flexibility makes her a great addition to any Vault Hunter team, able to deal damage and support her allies. So gear up, partner—it’s time to show the wasteland what true gunslinging looks like!
