For the connoisseurs out there!
Introducing the first Arasaka Merc, Jimmy Kurosaki! Sure, he might cater to suits with money, but nothing stops Jimmy from showing up in other lists. So today, I’m gonna discuss everyone’s favorite chrome-nosed BD dealer.
Jimmy is a Netrunner, a Merc, and a Specialist. So you can only bring one in your list (he is a singular individual, after all), but he’s able to handle your hacking needs pretty effectively. Combine that with his incredible sense of fashion, and he’ll strike a blasé pose in any gang’s lineup.
At just 15€$, he’s pretty cheap for a Netrunner. He only has two YELLOW actions, but since most programs are free actions, he doesn’t need many more to get the job done. He’s also rocking 2 points of armor, which is important because he has none of the typical combat skills (Melee, Ranged, or Reflexes). Instead, he’s got 2 points of Tech, Med, and Influence. This makes him an excellent tool for handling a variety of scenarios tasks, as long as it doesn’t require too much killing.
But that doesn’t mean Jimmy is defenseless! He’s packing a potent EMP Pulse that can Stun 3 everyone within RED (friend and foe). It’s not a small amount of Stun, so it can be used pretty offensively. Stun actions that succeed against a target flip a number of action tokens over to their used side. So if Jimmy gets stuck in a brawl with some heavy hitters, he can defend himself long enough to escape.
Lastly, Mr. Kurosaki is a bit of a snob. He’ll only work for Leaders who cost 20€$ or more. So if you’ve promoted a cheap model to leader status (using the new Butter Bars gear), he won’t give you the time of day! This isn’t a big restriction at the moment, but you never know what the future holds!
Next up… we’re gonna shoot for the moon.
