Welcome to another Monster Fight Club Beginner Paint Guide!
This guide is designed to help hobbyists achieve a color scheme similar to the one shown on our studio-painted miniature. Rather than focusing on advanced painting techniques, this guide is intended as a simple, approachable color reference that will help you get great-looking results on the tabletop.
We aren't professional painters, just passionate hobbyists who love miniatures, gaming, and sharing what we've learned along the way. Feel free to follow this guide step-by-step, use it as a jumping off point for your own creativity, or put your own unique spin on the model.
Remember, thereās no wrong way to paint your miniatures! The goal is to have fun, learn something new, and create something you're excited to put on the table.
If you paint your own version, we'd love to see it! Be sure to tag Monster Fight Club on social media and share your finished miniature with us.
We can't wait to see what you create!

Before you start:
- Keep your brush moist, not soaked. A slightly damp brush helps paint flow smoothly and prevents paint from drying on the bristles.
- Thin your paints when needed. Two thin coats almost always look better than one thick coat.
- Let each layer dry completely before applying washes or painting neighboring details.
- Don't overload your brush. Using less paint gives you more control and helps avoid accidentally covering nearby details.
- Start with the largest areas first. It's much easier to paint small details after the main colors have been applied.
- Mistakes happen! If paint ends up where it shouldn't, simply let it dry and paint over it with the correct color.
- Rotate the miniature, not your hand. Turning the model can make difficult angles much easier to reach.
- Don't stress about perfection. Most miniatures are viewed from tabletop distance, where clean colors and strong contrast matter more than tiny details.
- Most importantly, have fun! Every miniature you paint helps build your skills and confidence as a hobbyist.

Mix 1:1 Hunter's Quiver and Hell Bent for Leather and apply to the pants.
This creates a rich brown tone that complements the rest of the model.
Step 6: Paint the Scarf and Red Details
Paint the scarf and all red accent details using The Red Baron.
This includes:

Don't worry about making the transition perfect. A soft color shift will create a striking effect on the tabletop.
Step 8: Paint the Arm Cannon Mount
Paint the arm gun mount with Daemonic Yellow.
A second coat may be required for solid coverage.
Step 9: Final Touches
Inspect the model and clean up any areas where colors may have overlapped.
