Ellie
Ellie is a tough, grease-stained mechanic with a big heart and an even bigger ride. Whether she's building death machines or crushing bandits under monster tires, she’s always got your back.
Ellie’s Free Ride skill tree supercharges her main Catch-A-Ride ability, turning every Move action into a full-throttle explosion of speed and power! Catch-A-Ride’s digistruct technology creates a vehicle so she can scoop up fellow Vault Hunters in the same zone, toss 'em in her rig, and drop 'em off like a badass bus driver. No ticket required, just hang on! Players who coordinate their turn with Ellie can hitch a ride and save their energy for blasting baddies with attacks instead of spending actions on movement. Plan it right, and she’ll turn every road trip into a fast-track to mayhem!
The first tier of the Free Ride skill tree lets Ellie gun it with a free GREEN move once per activation. That’s a burst of bonus movement for her, but when timed right with Catch-A-Ride, it can kick the whole crew into overdrive, sending every Vault Hunter roaring into action with the extra movement!
Ellie’s second-tier skill turns her into an unstoppable road warrior! She can now blaze straight through full zones, smashing past anything that dares block her path. Tires, rubble, enemy spawn zones, none of it can slow her down. Whether you’re cutting a direct line to the objective or claiming prime real estate in the arena, this skill keeps Ellie in the driver’s seat and the momentum fully maxed out!
Ellie’s third-tier skill cranks the engine into overdrive and can now tear through one extra zone with every Move action. And the best part? It stacks with all her bonus moves, including that free move from her first tier skill. When Catch-A-Ride kicks in, the whole crew gets to ride the momentum. Ellie punches it, and every Vault Hunter rockets forward in her dust trail of pure, high-octane glory!
Ellie’s fourth-tier skill pushes the pedal to the metal and the foot to the floor! Any Vault Hunter in her zone (including Ellie herself) can now move GREEN when they take a Move action, no matter what color their Action token is. Even those beat-up RED tokens turn into rocket fuel. Ellie’s Catch-A-Ride ability can haul extra crew along for the ride, so it’s easy to group multiple Vault Hunters in her zone. Then your entire team can blast across the arena like a convoy of chaos-fueled demolition derby champions!
Ellie is a blast to play because she helps make every Vault Hunters’ turn into a joyride of destruction. Catch-A-Ride helps save precious actions for attacks and puts you in the best position for maximum mayhem.
Octavio
Octavio is a streetwise hacker with big dreams and even bigger schemes. Having more confidence than common sense, he’ll turn small problems into explosive adventures!
The first tier of the Future Mogul skill tree lets Octavio start the game in style, drawing three Loot tokens into his pocket. Whenever another Vault Hunter scores a Loot token, they can strike a deal and swap it with one of Octavio’s. This gives the whole team the freedom to trade, hustle, and fine-tune their resources for maximum profit.
Octavio’s second-tier skill flips failure into fortune during the Cleanup Roll. Normally, rolling a Fumble wipes out every Loot token in the Arena, but not on Octavio’s watch. His business instincts turn disaster into opportunity, keeping all Loot tokens in play so nothing valuable ever slips away. And to sweeten the deal, each Vault Hunter draws and gains one Loot token. With Octavio on your team, even a total Fumble becomes a full-blown payday.
His third-tier skill takes his entrepreneurial instincts to the next level, because when there’s money on the ground, he’s already three steps ahead of everyone else. Octavio can scoop up every Loot token within three zones, effortlessly pulling them into his grasp like a magnetic storm of profit. With this skill, distance is no obstacle, and no loot is ever out of reach. Fortune favors the fast, and Octavio is the fastest hustler alive.
Octavio’s fourth-tier skill proves that in business, money really can buy life. When any Vault Hunter gets taken out, Octavio can spend $500 worth of Resale Value from his Loot tokens to bring them back into the fight. Normally, cashing in Resale Value for a respawn is impossible, but Octavio bends the rules like a true mogul. Any token flashing a dollar sign becomes a lifeline in his hands. With this power, defeat is just a temporary expense, and as long as Octavio’s bankroll is stacked, the team never truly goes bankrupt.
Octavio is an absolute blast to play because he doesn’t just join the show, he steals it, sells tickets, and pockets the profits. Every turn feels like a high-stakes hustle as he bends the economy of Pandora to his will, flipping the script on how Loot tokens work. While other Vault Hunters scavenge for scraps, Octavio is out there building an empire one shiny token at a time, trading, spending, and reinvesting.
