Objective

The Monster Fight Club Playtester Program allows dedicated players to test new games and products before they are released to the public. Playtesters provide valuable feedback on game mechanics, balance, and overall experience, helping us refine and improve our products.

Eligibility

To become a playtester, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Passion for Tabletop Games: A genuine interest in tabletop gaming, miniature games, or related hobbies.
  • Experience with Game Testing:
    • Previous playtesting experience is a plus, but not required.
    • Familiarity with the specific game or genre being tested is beneficial.
  • Active Engagement:
    • Active game playing community.- Minimum of 3 players in the playtest group, (including the lead) that meet and play regularly.
    • All players in the playtest group must sign an NDA
    • Test players must be a member of the Monster Fight Club Discord community.
  • Ability to Provide Constructive Feedback: Willingness to evaluate the game in-depth and offer detailed, actionable feedback.

Responsibilities of Playtesters

  • Test the Game Thoroughly: Play the game in the context it’s designed for, and explore all aspects (mechanics, components, balance, etc.).
  • Provide Detailed Feedback:
    • Offer constructive feedback, including both positive points and areas for improvement.
    • Be specific about what worked well and what didn’t (e.g., rules clarity, game flow, mechanics).
  • Maintain Confidentiality:
    • Do not share playtest materials (e.g., rulebooks, game components) or information about the game with anyone outside the playtester group without prior written authorization.
    • Playtest materials should only be shared with Monster Fight Club or authorized individuals.
  • Report Issues Promptly: If issues arise during gameplay (bugs, confusing rules, etc.), playtesters are expected to report them promptly in the Monster Fight Club testing channels.
  • Respect Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA): Playtesters will be required to sign an NDA to protect the confidentiality of the game and any proprietary content being tested.

Content Sharing Policy

  • No Unauthorized Distribution: Playtesters are prohibited from distributing any media, digital files, or content related to the game being tested (including screenshots, videos, or rulebooks) without prior written authorization from Monster Fight Club.
  • Public Discussions:
    • Playtesters may not disclose their status as playtesters of a given product, until that product's public release.
    • Playtesters must refrain from discussing specific details of products publicly until an official release or approval from Monster Fight Club has been granted. This includes, but is not limited to forums, social media, and other community platforms.
    • Playtesters may not use leading or suggestive language designed to encourage or confirm speculation. 
    • Playtesters may not discuss previous iterations of rules that were tested and not used in final product.
    • Playtesters may not discuss hypotheticals or other "what they would have done" scenarios for products which they tested.

Program Expectations and Guidelines

  • Commitment to Deadlines: Playtesters must adhere to agreed-upon deadlines for feedback submission and participation in testing sessions.
  • Active Participation: Playtesters must be available for regular playtesting sessions (whether live or remote) and provide timely feedback on the game’s progress.
  • Respect for Others: Playtesters must interact respectfully with fellow testers and with Monster Fight Club staff. Discrimination, harassment, or unprofessional conduct will result in removal from the program.

Exclusions and Limitations

  • Submission of an application does not guarantee approval.
  • Monster Fight Club reserves the right to deny applications or discontinue participation at any time.
  • Monster Fight Club reserves the right to determine any rewards offered on a case-by-case basis, based on factors such as participation, location, and engagement metrics.
  • Monster Fight Club reserves the right to request payment for shipping fees.
  • Monster Fight Club is not liable for any damages caused during transit.

Terms and Conditions

  • Any discounts or rewards offered apply only to Monster Fight Club products purchased or provided directly from Monster Fight Club.
  • Products, content, or media that are purchased or provided are intended solely for use in playtesting settings and may not be resold, distributed, or used for personal gain.
  • Monster Fight Club reserves the right to amend, discontinue, or revoke access to the Playtester Program at any time.
  • Playtesters are responsible for staying up to date on all rules, regulations, requirements, and related guidelines
  • Playtesters are responsible for overseeing the proper use of Monster Fight Club products.
  • By participating in this program, playtesters acknowledge and accept full responsibility for these conditions.

  • Evaluation and Selection: Applications will be reviewed, and selected playtesters will be contacted with further instructions. Selected playtesters will receive a confirmation email with further instructions. Please note that the evaluation timeline may vary depending on the volume of applications received.
  • Confidentiality Agreement: All selected playtesters must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before receiving materials, content, or access to the Discord Alpha and Beta test channels.
